Courtney & Zach || St. Augustine, Florida

I had the best shoot with these two in St. Augustine! They brought their dog too and whenever couples ask if they can bring their dog, I try to calmly say "yes, that's fine with me" but inside I'm screaming *YESSS PLEASE!!!! YAYYYYYYY!* We had such a fun evening walking around in this white powder sand. Courtney and Zach are such naturals in front of the camera and their love just shines through effortlessly. This was a couple weeks before Valentine's Day and you could say love was definitely in the air. I had a tough time narrowing down the photos to share in this blog post because they all turned out so cute! Courtney is a talented Photographer & Videographer so it was awesome to make a new friend here in Florida. Love these two so much!

P.S. Make sure you get to the bottom of this post because the last photo is definitely a gem!

Kyle & Maranda || Jacksonville, Florida || Military Homecoming

Where do I even begin with these two?! Maranda & Kyle are so cute! Kyle is a Marine and they have been apart for the last year (321 days to be exact)! Maranda contacted me about photographing his homecoming and I was so excited to do so! As we were waiting in the airport I felt so anxious and I didn't even know Kyle haha! I can't even imagine how Maranda and their families felt.

As we were waiting a group of people started to walk down the hallway and a man turned to Maranda and said "Is your husband the marine?!" She said "Yes!" and he responded, "Well get ready because he was right behind me!"

As we saw Kyle walking down the hallway, I think it took everything in Maranda to not sprint past the DO NOT ENTER sign haha. I totally cried as they reunited. Pretty sure everyone did. As Maranda & Kyle embraced for the first time, it honestly felt like time stopped for a minute and the presence around us was just filled with so much gratitude and love. I'm getting teary eyed thinking about it. I'm so grateful I got to be there to witness such a special moment.

A week later we got together again to take some photos on the beach and they were just as happy/in love/cute as ever. 28 days they had together before Kyle left for another year. I'm so glad they have some photos to hold on to and look back on as they spend another year apart. I have so much respect & gratitude for them and for all the men and women that serve our country.
